Another beautiful subject on this very hot day... Who could have predicted that a day would be this sweltering? Of course, Olivia looks great, thanks to our faithful assistant and stylist for the afternoon. I'm speaking of her mom, of course!

Gorgeousness... Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer
As usual, I continue to shoot beautiful people. Not only seniors, but kids, families, brides, and so on and so on... Olivia was just another beauty to add to my portfolio.
And another thing I'm noticing.... I'm really short. Has anybody else noticed? At 5'1" (which is probably a stretch) I'm constantly asking my seniors to squat or I have to stand on my tippee toes. It's o.k.
God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us. Ephesians 3:20 (the Message)

Murfreesboro Senior Photographer... Ashley
I met Ashley and her mom about a year ago and we've done two photo shoots together. For this one, we went to Opryland Hotel. I have to say, as close as we are to the hotel, I haven't been there in AGES! Leon and I actually went there on our first date. That was the place to go at the time and you DIDN'T have to pay to park! Yipes. I think Ashley's mom had to pay $20 each for us to park. We had fun, though. I'm not really sure if they actually "allow" photographers there, but we kept it on the down-low.

Saturday Adventure... Whoa.
Well, it's that time of year again! The World's Longest Yard Sale on Hwy 127. We headed out on Thursday morning to just hang out in Chattanooga for a while and we had the bright idea to go to Ruby Falls. They have a really cool Zip Line course there and we thought, why not? I have always wanted to do a zipline and it looked fun so we paid our money and waited for our turn. As we sat waiting, I noticed a "Ninja Warrior-type" obstacle course in the tree tops. Surely that wasn't part of what we were doing.... oh NO, it was! After walking tight ropes and stumbling across suspended bridges hanging by a thread, we finally got to the zip line part. Now that was fun. Let me just say, doing an obstacle course in 100 degree heat while wearing a helmet is hot work and Leon got stung by a bee on the head as well.
Well, onto the yard sales Friday morning with MORE heat! Tons of little goodies awaited us.... so much glassware. I can't understand how all of it survives for so many years. We started in Chattanooga and took Highway 127 to just north of Crossville. That doesn't seem like a long way but it took all day!

Murfreesboro Senior Photographer... Kristen
I am always so thrilled to spend time with high school seniors. The most exciting school year of their life is about to start and I really enjoy talking about where they are going to college, what their plans are, and what they like to do for fun. Also, I have noticed that ALL of the seniors I have shot are all gorgeous. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Look back through all my posts and you'll see. Every time I pull up to meet my new client, I am always shocked at how pretty the girls are and how good-looking the guys are. My friend, Janece said, "Angel, you think they are all pretty. It's how you see them in your eyes." No. Really. They ARE all pretty!

Saturday Adventure... Murfreesboro Family Photographer
Saturday morning was actually not sweltering and I had a great time with this family. We went to Cannonsburg in Murfreesboro and had fun in the water. My mistake was starting the session near the water and little Wyatt was not interested in anything else after that! Toward the end, he was so interested in throwing sticks in the water and watching them float away that he took a little dip in our lovely Stones River! He was fine, just a little shook up. Didn't last long though, he was ready to go back to his stick throwing as soon as he got on a new set of dry clothes!

Murfreesboro Wedding Photographer
June 18th was the day. Rain on and off, the radar was not promising. I am convinced that God has mercy on us when it comes to having an outdoor wedding. The seats had to be dried off, but the rain was gone by the time the wedding started. The bride and groom were both absolutely gorgeous so great pictures are a sure thing. The setting was amazing. My friend, Laura owns the beautiful home where the wedding was held and the old dairy barn is the perfect place for a reception.
I am very privileged to have a small part in a couple's biggest day. It's a joy for me to capture these moments!

Seniors! I met Lexi and her mom downtown and we went from there. Lexi is so beautiful and such a free spirit! I had fun getting to know her and her mom. As we walked down Maple Street, a character from inside Past Time Barber Shop and Pool Hall enticed us to come in and take a few shots. It was really hot so going into the cool pool room was very tempting.
Lexi was a little apprehensive but I bet nobody else has senior pictures inside a historic Murfreesboro pool hall/barber shop... This place has been around forever!

Saturday Adventures - Flea Market!
Saturday was such a good day! For the first time in a long time, my friend LaRae and I had a whole day together... We took little Ava on her first trip to the big city. We visited my sister and went to the Spaghetti Factory, then on to the flea market. Ava did so well but by the end of the day you can see how she was spending her time! I overheard a vendor saying that the fairgrounds location was safe until the end of the year but after that, it's up in the air. I have been going to the flea market and the fair and racetrack since I was a little kid. Anyone remember Fair Park? Check out this website to see updates of what's going on and plans to hopefully keep everything intact.

Tomato time!
Oh I can't begin to tell you how long we have waited for a homegrown tomato! I had a tiny one last week but it was only enough for me, sorry Leon. This gorgeous image was captured with a new lens that I rented for a wedding I'm shooting tomorrow. I think I'm in love with the lens but it has to go back Monday. I love trying them out before I decide to buy but I think this one is a definite wish list item now!

Saturday Adventures... Flea Market for May
Well last Saturday's flea market was hoppin' and HOT! What about this heat, right? Once again, we didn't show up till 8:30 and it was busy like last month.... I'm gonna have to put my foot down! Gotta be there by 7:30 am!
My big girl camera has been getting all spruced up and refreshed so I had to resort to the iPhone again but I love it too. Saw some awesome old cameras and I got a new prop! You'll be seeing it soon I'm sure because my camera came back home today.
This week brings at least two shoots that I know of and the next few weeks are filling quickly. I'm really excited but I have to remember to stay hydrated.... this heat is killer!

Posting, posting...
This is gonna be a pretty short post because I'm tired and I've been fiddling with my blog for over an hour. I'm changing up the design a little bit so bear with me over the next few days. Hopefully it will be more lovelier. Is that a word?
Anyway, these are a few more of the spring session images. I know they have been straggling in over the past month and if you think I haven't been busy, well, that's not the case. I will have some new and fresh photos to show soon and I have a ton of sessions and a couple of weddings coming very soon. Keep your eyes peeled!

Spring sessions.... SUCCESS!
I have to say that the Spring session day was a great success.... no one got poison ivy and we didn't see any snakes. I DID have to lug all this stuff by myself, but I survived. I was happy with the whole setup especially my jellybeans! :) Luckily my last family helped me load back up which was a major blessing... My poor car was busting at the seams!
Here are a few of the handsome boys I shot in the first hour... more to come soon!
