all-girl saturday

I had three shoots on Saturday and they were ALL lovely ladies... Here's a sampling...

It was extremely hot and humid but I survived. The rain held off and it was overcast which is perfect. Thanks to all who endured it with me! Enjoy your previews... more to come late in the week.

gifts

Looking forward to this weekend... Saturday is jam packed with photo sessions and I'm excited. Hopefully by Sunday night I'll have a few posted on here to share.

I'm posting a couple of my favorites from June below. If you didn't know already, I'm a huge Leave it to Beaver fan.... like in the category of weird maybe. So anyway, I bought this phone on eBay last year and it's the phone that was used on the show in the first couple of seasons (1957-58). Yes, THE phone. You know, the one in the upstairs hall between Wally and Beaver's bedroom and mom and dad's bedroom? Yeah, I guess you don't know. :) I actually like this style of phone so much that I painted a huge one and it's hanging above our fireplace.

I have been thinking lately about people I know who are so talented. I have many friends and family that sew, make jewelry, paint. It's easy to forget why we each have different talents. These gifts belong to Him like everything else we possess. We are given these for a time to use for our own happiness and to serve God.

Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms. 1 Peter 4:10

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows. James 1:17

it's almost over...

Well the weekend, that is. It was a good weekend. We got to spend time with friends and had alot of fun. Jagger's birthday was Friday so we went up for his big party Friday night. Sometime you just gotta take a break in the pink chair.
This weekend is also Murfreesboro's famous festival, Uncle Dave Macon Days. It's a bluegrass competition and general get together for all people who love the music and the roots of the Grand Ole Opry. Uncle Dave is really from McMinnville but we kind of claim him. I was officially on assignment shooting photos for the Rutherford RedBook. I met some really interesting people and had alot of fun. I got there at 7:30 am so I attempted to beat the heat.

Smarklers

These are new to me. They are sparklers that make smoke. I thought some photos with the kids holding sparklers would be so cute then everybody was choking before I could shoot the photo. Oh well we had a great time on the 4th; hope you did too!

how my feet got so dirty...

I had a really fun senior shoot on Friday. We drove to K's grandparents' farm to do her photos and they ALL turned out great. As some of you know, I'm a city girl. We took shots inside their barn, in a field and everywhere else that looked good. I tend to roll around in the grass when I shoot so I was told that I better check for ticks when I get home. Ummmm.... what does a tick look like?

Here's a little preview of the terrific shots we got on Friday... more to come later this week!
Based on the gifts they have received, everyone should use it to serve others,
as good managers of the varied grace of God. I Peter 4:10
