Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

Seniors! I met Lexi and her mom downtown and we went from there. Lexi is so beautiful and such a free spirit! I had fun getting to know her and her mom. As we walked down Maple Street, a character from inside Past Time Barber Shop and Pool Hall enticed us to come in and take a few shots. It was really hot so going into the cool pool room was very tempting.

Lexi was a little apprehensive but I bet nobody else has senior pictures inside a historic Murfreesboro pool hall/barber shop... This place has been around forever!

Spring sessions.... SUCCESS!

I have to say that the Spring session day was a great success.... no one got poison ivy and we didn't see any snakes. I DID have to lug all this stuff by myself, but I survived. I was happy with the whole setup especially my jellybeans! :) Luckily my last family helped me load back up which was a major blessing... My poor car was busting at the seams!

Here are a few of the handsome boys I shot in the first hour... more to come soon!

Murfreesboro Newborn Photographer

Did you know that you don't have to even leave your home to have newborn photos taken? These photos were all taken in the comfort of the client's home! All we need is a little light and a little baby! It's best to take newborn photos in the first 2 weeks to capture all those tiny details.

show your originality...

Do you want your senior pictures (or your child's senior pictures) to look like everyone else's in your class? I didn't think so. I charge a minimal session fee to come to where ever you want to go. I don't restrict the number of poses we shoot. You can change clothes as many times as you want to. Your senior photos should reflect your personality, not make you a clone of everyone else in your class! Call me to schedule your session! (Click on the photos below to see larger views.)

cousins

so excited to be able to work with boys for a change. Seems like I photograph girls alot so this was fun. These guys are cousins and I think they had a lot of fun together that day. The little one is a spitfire and won't stand still for long..
yes, he is wearing an authentic kilt. isn't that the most adorable thing you have ever seen?

a few of my favorite things are...

photography and flea markets and I got to do both this weekend. Got an adorable antique baby scale at the flea market for those of you with newborns. It will be cleaned up and ready to go soon. Also had really fun senior shoot Friday. It was the first time that I had to wash my feet after a shoot. Previews should be on here by tues. night... you'll understand when you see the photos!

We also went to a hot rod show at LP field on Sunday and I got some awesome shots. I am always lagging behind and Leon has to wait for me to finish taking photos. He is so patient...

Family of Four Plus Puppy

God keeps on blessing me with wonderful people to work with! Saturday I had the opportunity to shoot an awesome family (and their puppy) in their very own neighborhood. I think we all had a good time and the surroundings were perfect for photos. The girls are beautiful and as always, my clients give me some of my best ideas. Here's a little preview for the O's... in a few days, you will be able to see ALL of your gorgeous photos here.

Friends and Family-Filled Weekend

This past weekend was crazy, but so much fun. On Saturday, Chuck and Kara came in from their long journey from Pennsylvania to the west coast and swung by Murfreesboro to visit. Their visit was too short but we were really glad to see them. Soon after they were gone on Sunday morning, we had the whole family over for Leon's dad's birthday party. We ate then had a game of Cranium which we didn't finish due to the fact that it's kind of hard to play... and well, I guess we're not as smart as we thought we were. Well at least the adults. We gave up and just started molding things out of clay and guessed what they were. So get us Play-Doh for Christmas because we evidently didn't get enough of it as kids!

OK here's where I tell you what is on my mind about this weekend... If you know me very well, you know that I'm not the best hostess. I agonize over everything being right and perfectly clean and I get in a twit when there are a bunch of people in our house. I love people, I just stress myself out too much. Well, all week I stressed. What am I going to cook? How am I going to get all this done? I'm going to freak out! Then I just sat down and said, "OK God. I can't do it all. Show me what to do." And here is what he showed me... "Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." I Peter 4:8-10 That did more for me this week than I could have imagined! I am committed to showing more hospitality now and enjoying the time with my friends and family and NOT stressing!

I am NOT a dog... or a kid...

Poor Penelope. We went to Target the other night and I couldn't resist this little t-shirt for Pen. It was on extreme clearance or I wouldn't have bought it. I'm sure she wishes I wouldn't have. You can't really see the back but it says "Princess" with a pink crown and rhinestones. As you can see, she just loves it and can't wait to wear it everyday. ha! The look on her face says it all. She's an old lady who doesn't like change and doesn't care who knows it. I also attached one of her "professional" photos so you can see how pretty she is when she's not in a bad mood.

Green Grass and Happy Faces

On Easter Sunday, I had the chance to do some photos of my niece and nephews. They have all modeled throughout their lives and you can certainly see why from the photos. I mean, just look at those eyelashes! They have definitely been my easiest subjects so far. All of them are ready and willing (kind of) to let me practice on them anytime... thanks, guys! I love you!
Based on the gifts they have received, everyone should use it to serve others,
as good managers of the varied grace of God. I Peter 4:10
