Party time! {Middle Tennessee Family Photographer}

I appreciate what being a mom means more than ever! Giving a birthday party for a child is exhausting and we did it the easy way for Ian's third birthday. We had the party at The Discovery Center in Murfreesboro and all I really had to do was bring the cake and plates and napkins, etc... It was still chaotic! I have photographed parties before and I would have LOVED to have hired me to do the same for this party! Making sure you have photos AND making sure everyone has cake AND making sure we say "Thank you" AND making sure you get to talk to everyone is hard! We had so much fun though!

Jimi - Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

I knew this was going to be a special shoot when Jimi's mom called me. She said her son was special and unique and played guitar. I searched for the perfect place to shoot and I think we found it. I am always scouting out new locations to make every session completely unique and personal for each senior. If you can't think of a place you think is right, just let me know... I'll find a spot!

A little taste of Spring... {Murfreesboro, TN|kids}

Today is one of those days when the sun is out and it's 74° outside. It's one of those days when your spirit is lifted a bit. When you think, ok it'll be summer soon. I can plant flowers soon. I needed today. I needed a glimpse of what is to come. It's been a long time since we could see very far into the future, but we know for sure that spring is coming!My sister made Ian this gorgeous little quilt and she's been wanting me to take a few pics of him with it. I finally got to do it today. The poor quilt just about blew away a few times but we managed to get a few good shots. Ian can be a real ham sometime and I love that about him! Every time I laid on the ground, he laid on the ground. I guess he thought he was at a centerfold shoot! These are the very first pictures I've taken with my brand new camera! I've stepped it up a bit, spent some money in anticipation of upcoming shoots and weddings that the Lord is going to send my way.
I call this last shot "The cutest boy in the world in mid 'Cheeeese!'"

Another beautiful senior... Middle Tennessee Senior Photographer

I had so many senior sessions in November and December that I can't even remember how many there were. This lovely senior is just absolutely beautiful. Nobody looked like this when I was in school! Maybe they did. Maybe it just seemed normal but I'm thinking not. This shoot was the first one where I left Ian at home with his dad to go out and work. It's such a fabulous feeling to tell people "yes" when they say, "so, do you have kids?" I think they probably got sick of me talking about him, but I just keep on talking!This day was actually so warm that she had on short sleeves and wasn't chilly at all! Oh, where are those days now!
